At age 20, Patrick moved to Raleigh, NC, and began a successful career as a bench jeweler, crafting custom jewelry for 12 years. He refined his craft with specialized training at the Gemological Institute of America in Carlsbad, California, and further studies in Chicago. However, health concerns from exposure to chemicals led him to pursue a new path. In 2003, while preparing for the biggest bodybuilding competition of his career, Patrick accepted a management role at a nutrition store. Less than four weeks later, he earned his IFBB pro card at the 2004 Nationals, marking a major turning point. Driven by his passion for health, he opened All Pro Nutrition Inc. about a year later, which he still operates in Raleigh, NC, for nearly 20 years now.

Throughout his career, Patrick has coached Olympic sprinters, bodybuilders, Powerlifters and even worked briefly with professional wrestler Stone Cold Steve Austin. As a sponsored athlete with a major supplement company, he collaborated on innovative sports nutrition products, sparking his desire to create his own brand. Over the years, Patrick started a few small supplement companies, and in 2021 he launched PureFactor Formulations. After initially launching the brand and formulating the first two products, he partnered with Matt Cusano, who was also a fitness industry veteran with over 20 years of experience, to take PureFactor to new heights. Today, Patrick continues his commitment to advancing health and fitness, creating innovative, custom-formulated products that are changing the landscape of functional health and sports nutrition.
